Project Description
The new 800+ bed student housing development will provide an enriching on-campus experience for the residential students as well as a vibrant place for connecting and learning for the broader Orange Coast College student population. Through a quality, affordable solution, this first-time student housing is intended to enhance learning outcomes through social interactions and on-campus living. The program provides different floor plans to accommodate a diverse student population ranging from first-year students, to returning veterans, to international students. The units are designed to encourage residents to leave the comfort of their room and join the activity going on in the common areas and outdoor spaces. Rooted in promoting community through the strategic organization of spaces and circulation, the design of the living-learning environment connects amenities, spaces, and services to enhance the student’s experience, co-curricular learning, social development and academic success.
