Project Description

Located between Capitol Hill and The Yards, Novel South Capitol is a composition of two adjacent 13-story towers that house 539 apartments and share a below-grade parking structure. The residential complex replaces a surface parked McDonald’s restaurant. It is conveniently located within walking distance from both the Navy Yard Metro station and the Washington Nationals baseball park. It is an important part of the ongoing redevelopment of the South Capitol Street area in the city catalyzed by the baseball stadium.
Light-filled studio, one and two-bedroom den units offer open, flexible floor plans and feature floor-to-ceiling windows. The extensive use of glass, in addition to the glass balconies at both corners, provide expansive city views. Ground-floor apartments have stoops that walk out directly onto the street contributing to pedestrian-friendly streetscapes.
The distinctive amenity package includes roof-top terraces complete with a cocktail bar, lounge area with outdoor screening area, swimming pool, dining, and a shared co-working space that take advantage of the expansive views of the Capitol Building.
