Project Description

Located in the TD Centre’s Ernst Young Tower, the Nadal Management Centre is the downtown Executive Learning Centre for York University’s Schulich School of Business.

The goal of the project was to renovate the existing centre in order to extend the Schulich brand downtown, create a more effective teaching environment and provide both improved food service and an enhanced dining experience. A warm palette of natural materials and transparent and translucent glass create an open and flexible environment. Floor to ceiling glazed screens provide transparency and offer visual connections between spaces while allowing natural daylight to penetrate throughout.

The new dining room includes a large glazed wall and glazed doors that can be closed for special functions, with state of the art audio visual capabilities. The new training room employs a large format LCD digital monitor with a handheld wireless key board that allows instructors maximum flexibility, along with traditional blackboards, to accommodate a wide variety of pedagogy, based on the unique needs of the training group.
