Project Description

FPBA, teamed with C.W. Driver and Manuel Oncina Architects, is working on the new Mission Hills-Hillcrest Harley & Bessie Knox Library. The City of San Diego selected the design-build team to execute the 14,500-square-foot library from bridging documents.

The facility will offer large community gathering areas dedicated to children and teens, as well as study rooms and computer areas. Designed to LEED Gold standards, the site will utilize drought-tolerant landscaping. Wood finishes on the interior coincide with the exterior craftsman style.

The new library will be more than three times the size of the current Mission Hills Branch Library that sits just down the street and will feature an underground parking garage.
