Project Description

Mall Plaza Vespucio Aires represents a major expansion and facelift to this Santiago shopping mall. As the focal point of the interior, tvsdesign has created a lush garden court capped by a bold glass roof structure. The project vision is to attract a new upscale tenant and clientele mix by the creation of a large daylit winter garden designed to provide customers a relaxing, spa-like shopping environment. Floating cafe living rooms and specialty retail are woven together with sculptural landscape including a cascading stream. Sweeping roof lines and curvilinear forms bring a new modern image to the mall’s exterior. This, along with the addition of a new covered walkway, help to unify the building and offers an enhanced pedestrian experience.

This 15,000 sm major expansion adds a distinctive new two-level fashion district to this highly successful mall in Santiago, Chile. The project is developed by Mall Plaza, owner of eight large shopping centers in Chile, and continues a long-term multi-project relationship tvsdesign has with the developer.
