Project Description

FROM THE AIASF:

Carefully positioned on a scenic bluff, the Kalihiwai Pavilion is the newest addition to a lush oceanfront property. With its emphasis on transparency, the design takes full advantage of Hawaii's ocean breezes, while its material palette was chosen to withstand the harsh exposure of tropical rains and sun.

Luxurious and stunning pavilions have been designed for this picturesque site. The use of large shed roof planes over a wood-clad structure, infilled almost exclusively with glass, makes for rich and simple drama. The large timber-framed room is as breathtaking as the landscape it overlooks.
