Project Description

This project, located on the Finkbine Golf Course, is for the purpose of providing an indoor training/practice facility for the University of Iowa men’s and women’s golf team. It is located at the west end of the existing outdoor driving range at Finkbine Golf Course.

The facility includes men’s and women’s locker rooms, coach and assistant coach’s offices, a team lounge, and a club repair/storage area. Additionally the facility contains a performance studio for practicing chipping and putting on a special turf which is designed to replicate a normal putting green and fringe area. There are two heated hitting bays with five hitting stations, which allows golfers to hit golf balls during the winter months, into the outdoor driving range. Video capability is provided in order to film and analyze a golfer’s swing mechanics.
