Project Description
The proposed Hyatt Centric/ Regency Hotel will occupy the south and eastern portions of the combined Best Western Hotel property located within the block bounded by Murray Street to the south, Fallsview Blvd to the East, Stanley Ave to the west, and Robinson Street to the north. The existing 6 storey Best Western building on Stanley Ave will remain as is, while the 4 storey Best Western hotel building located at Murray Street and Fallsview Blvd will be razed to facilitate the construction of this new Hotel. The new L-shaped hotel development will consist of a 16- storey high-rise tower on Murray Street, and an adjacent 14- storey mid-rise building with an amenities penthouse on Fallsview Blvd. The hotel will be designed and operated as a combined Hyatt Centric and Hyatt Regency, selected to complement the existing Hotels in the Fallsview Tourist District.
The new hotel will contain 1188 guest rooms, 39 rooms/ floor within the high-rise tower, and 92 rooms/floor within the typical mid-rise floors, a ground floor restaurant on Murray Street, a retail, entertainment and F&B component located at the ground floor and 1st floor level at the corner of Fallsview Blvd and Murray Street.
The retail corner at Fallsview Blvd and Murray Street has been designed to accommodate a pedestrian bridge to provide direct access to and from the Fallsview Casino.
The proposed design was carefully considered to meet the Tourist Area Design Guidelines. Consistent with the variety of urban design principles set out for the district’s future development, the new Hotel will add a significant architectural landmark to the city’s skyline and will help to further promote the City’s International reputation as one of the World’s leading Tourist destinations. The hotel’s proximity to the Falls, the Fallsview Casino Resort, and the planned Niagara Falls Entertainment Centre across Murray Street puts it at the heart of an exciting tourist epicenter within the Fallsview District.
