Project Description

Major design and planning objectives was working within the shell of the existing house. The entire house was gutted and ceiling heights were raised from 8’ to 10’ and 11’. The additional ceiling height was achieved by removing the existing ceiling joists, following the roof line to 10’ where new ceiling joist were installed. Due to this additional height, a slope was created around the entire front perimeter of the house. The kitchen was designed as an open area the flows from breakfast room, keeping room, living room and dining. Kitchen includes Honed Calcutta gold countertops, custom wood cabinets and kitchen hood. New 11” original face pine floors were installed throughout. Tile backsplash was run in an herringbone pattern to help accent the kitchen hood.
