Project Description

Foremost Insurance (Farmers Insurance) retained RMTA for full scope design and management services for their new training office and call center located on their corporate campus in Michigan. RMTA worked to develop a design that was open, organized and effective for the nearly 1,200 new positions in the new three-story facility. The firm acted as owner-agent throughout the process to develop overall project budget and timeline while orchestrating the entire team of designers, facility planners and client vendors, to help assure that the $70 million project remained on-time and on-budget.

The new facility was carefully crafted into the site, allowing ease of access utilizing natural grades, traffic patterns and existing infrastructure, while providing efficient systems to support lower energy and maintenance costs. The space utilizes LEED principals and includes uses such as office, training center, call center, security center, cafeteria, fitness center and print distribution facility. The final design yielded a facility that connects the varied use spaces by bright, contemporary, light filled atriums and courtyards.
