Project Description

The gambrel roof on this classic New England, shingle-style house camouflages the second story, keeping the home’s presence from overpowering its neighbors. Similarly, Harrison Design architects used earthy materials so the residence blends into the landscape. The flared eaves, Tudor-style windows and decorative transoms signal a sense of elegance, which carries into the interior. The airy living room features light-colored, coffered ceiling with beams. Typifying the architects’ focus on detail, the dining room’s bay window is created of curved glass and arched shingles accentuate the arc of a window in the back.
