Data Systems International, an internationally based high-tech mobile technology software company, retained RMTA to create a dynamic, energetic and forward-thinking global headquarters that would completely transform the company. DSI asked RMTA to create a work space that would support the company’s clients, its mission, values and company leadership. The contemporary space created by RMTA meets DSI’s needs for a dynamic digital work environment in a multi-story Class A building located in the vibrant downtown KC Live district of Kansas City, Mo. Numerous collaboration spaces were incorporated into the interactive office workspace where staff are encouraged to work throughout, whether at their desk, the café, conference areas/rooms or the game room. As a leading-edge technology company, DSI included iPad room reservation systems as well as interactive touch screen televisions in meeting spaces. The reception area sets the stage for the entire space, with a vibrant, interactive glass branding wall that features DSI’s latest product offerings. Sales are incorporated in the adjacent customer presentation room. A contemporary communicating stair links the two floors of the office space seamlessly and acts as a stunning visual connector within the space. The fast-paced, technology-focused, high level design project was executed with constant interaction with the client and building owner, and led to a very successful completion in April 2012.
