The clients chose this prefab home model thanks in large part to its intelligent connections to outdoor spaces. The outdoor features for the home take advantage of the home’s location in Healdsburg’s wine country, known for its rolling hills and beautiful vistas. A massive wraparound deck leads to the pool and provides a seamless indoor-outdoor connection to this home. The clients love that the outdoor deck allows them to enjoy the beauty of their Sonoma surroundings alone or with friends. Other outdoor features include a barbecue area, steel and aluminum trellis on the back deck, and cast-in-place concrete planters.
To place this home on the property, its modules were lifted high over the 50+ foot trees around the property, then placed onto the waiting foundation. All this also had to be done quickly and precisely to avoid incoming thunderstorms. This home was built to net-zero energy specifications.
