Project Description

The Torana is a gift of India to Malaysia, to mark the close relationship between the two countries. The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, invited 16 firms for its design competition out of which our design was selected for execution. The design is derived from the traditional ‘torana’ gate, which would be constructed in reinforced cement concrete and finished with thick sandstone panels & blocks carved in exquisite patterns & motifs – a fitting tribute to traditional Indian art & craftsmanship brought forth in public realm
