Project Description

We suppose prefabrication is the future of housing. The lead time for this first house is only 7 weeks from order to delivery.

Brette 20 is a tiny folding house which is perfect for off-grid use. Made of 4-layer 80mm CLT (Cross Laminated Timber®). No insulation at all, electrical wiring and plumbing included. The bath and WC are situated in the folding-out part, so as kitchen and all communications. Ability to fold and unfold multiple times allows moving around locations using a crane truck. It can host a family of 3 people freely.

The regular question we’re answering – is how I would use it? Brette Haus was inspired by Sybylla’s Kramer “Relocatable Residence: Nomadic living” book, there are a lot of amazingly designed tiny cabins, containers, small houses and more, but for us, there was a strange thing to understand – there is no standardized solution for multiple needs and also to move your house. So as a person, you can use it in several ways: secondary house, guest house, temporary living, home office and, of course, moving house! This solution is very convenient – the short time from order to delivery, no complex documentation for placing the house on the land and secure web order system. It’s not very comfortable to move with our product on your own right now, but after successful first years, we can implement new technologies which will allow people to relocate with their sustainable house by car.
