Project Description
Continuum Health Partners (CHP) commissioned this new 8,000-sf general family practice facility for Beth Israel Hospital dedicated to providing more extensive out-patient services for the Williamsburg, Brooklyn, community. In developing the overall design, WASA/Studio A collaborated closely with the attending clinical physicians who desired a welcoming and warm interior inspired by natural materials, as well as forms that are more interesting than those customarily seen in clinical spaces. The Hospital was also eager to promote a design that would appeal to the younger, more sophisticated demographic associated with Williamsburg. WASA/Studio A’s mission was to combine these design goals with a highly professionalized care delivery and efficient patient flow.
