Project Description
There’s no denying that there has been a shift in the way people are living — many are moving away from purchasing long-term homes to a lifestyle that values flexibility above all. COVID-19 accelerated this trend as people are working from home permanently and choosing to live in different states depending on the time of year. With this in mind, Justin Koziol, Co-Owner of BentoBox LLC and developer of BentoLiving, sought out to meet this demand with a different kind of hospitality experience.
BentoLiving and Resource Furniture worked together to design BentoLiving Chestnut Hill in Nashville, to offer apartment-style units and flexible booking options aimed at people looking to rent space from a week to a few months at a time! This is a new kind of experience — allowing guests to interact with the neighborhood at their own pace.
The goal of the BentoLiving apartments is simple — maximize space by utilizing every square inch and expanding functionality. The rooms need to serve as hotel rooms as well as long-term stay apartments, and the solution was to outfit the apartments with Resource Furniture’s Penelope Sofa Wall Beds that act as a living room sofa by day, and a comfortable bed by night. The other challenge was to find a suitable way to position a TV so it was viewable by both the living/bedroom as well as the dining area. Therefore, a custom Resource Furniture wall-mounted pivoting bracket was specified for 180-degree accessibility.
BentoLiving is perfect for anyone wanting to lead a more flexible, experience-based lifestyle.
