Project Description

From the museum:

The $7.5 million renovation will reconfigure the existing museum footprint to allow for a 47 percent increase in space available for exhibitions, educational programs, public areas and more. Without building any new structures, programmable space will expand from 17,772 square feet to 26,212 square feet. “The reimagined design will help us grow efficiently, responsibly and cost-effectively, allowing us to enhance exhibition and education programming as well as reach a wider audience.” said George L. Lindemann, President, Board of Directors. The interior expansion is made possible by a grant from the City of Miami Beach awarded in 2013.
