Our clients approached us to create a "backyard paradise". They wanted to add an outdoor kitchen, outdoor fireplace, and pool house. In addition, the scope of the work involved: 1)replacing the existing windows overlooking the back terrace with french doors w/ transoms, 2) covering and extending new terrace, 3) adding new brick stairs, 3)new concrete walk with brick edge 4) landscaping and 5) adding a full masonry outdoor fireplace w/ chimney to match existing chimney. The special challenges of the project were to make certain it tied in seamlessly to the existing structure and design; gain approval of design/plan with the community Architectural Control Committee,and to successfully incorporate the new walkways and patio of the Pool House with the existing pool. Not only were these challenges met, but clearly this renovation tremendously enhanced the home's overall exterior appeal as evident in the BEFORE/AFTER pictures. This project unequivocally exemplifies the standards set for this award category. Project BACKYARD PARADISE…mission accomplished!
