Project Description

FROM THE ARCHITECTS:

In 2014, Buro was hired to develop a master plan for 250 acres of land Upstate for artist Richard Prince's foundation which will provide a studio, gallery and art storage, library, artist in residence and visitor center. First building: a 5,000sf gallery and art storage was completed in August 2015. The new building, a carefully detailed modern barn uses passive building technologies while playing with the proportions and materials of existing barn typology of local context.
