Project Description

The Allied Health & Sciences Building is a 91,000-square-foot science laboratory building located on the campus of Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Ga. The project includes 25 teaching laboratories for the college’s biology, chemistry, physics, anatomy and physiology, exercise science, IT systems, computational sciences, digital media, and psychology programs. The building also will be home to the college’s new nursing program. Laboratory facilities are visible from student corridors via windowed laboratory walls that put the sciences on display.

In addition to laboratory space, the Allied Health and Sciences Building features eight student-controlled spaces for collaborative learning and studying, 36 faculty offices, and administrative offices for the college’s School of Science and Technology and the School of Health Sciences. The building was sited and designed to help further define a pedestrian axis and enclose the campus quad of the state’s most rapidly growing college, which opened in 2006.
