Project Description
This project takes on adaptive reuse of a building complex damaged during Hurricane Sandy, turning a vacant structure into a community center, craft microbrewery, and farm-to-table restaurant. The reconstruction of this project calls for the reuse of 68,166 bricks and 243 heavy timber beams. “Up-cycling” becomes “re-cycling” with added value. We hope that revitalization of projects like this leads to positive growth of the urban communities they strive to serve.
