Project Description

Located in the heart of Newport, Rhode Island and nestled among the historic fishing wharfs and classic New England buildings, 41 North is a unique boutique hotel project designed for today’s yachting culture. The project encompasses a full service marina for large yachts up to 150 feet in length accompanied by a new exterior dining club and bar pavilion, a 28 room hotel overlooking Newport Harbor with an elegant bar and living room lobby, a library room, a wine room, a fine dining restaurant, and an enclosed garden area for private parties. The hotel, which is LEED Certified, reflects a blend of casual yet sophisticated elegance. The interior design reflects a distinctive blend of traditional forms and modern materials where natural light fills every space. Custom glass mosaic tile provides a rippling shimmer throughout reflecting the sparkling water views. Custom designed light fixtures made of glass and sea shells are featured throughout the design and a 30 foot long custom DAS designed chandelier made of translucent sea shells fills the three story grand staircase. Each hotel suite is designed and appointed with elegant finishes and finely crafted details to create a rich soothing environment – like traveling on a fine yacht.
