Project Description

This project brings a renewed presence to two long-standing Jewish Institutions in Brighton, while also introducing 73 new housing units within walking distance to the MBTA B line.

The residential building takes its massing cues from the existing residential context – framing the end of a well-defined street wall, while transitioning to a larger scale as the street approaches Commonwealth Avenue.

The religious buildings – and the landscape that surrounds them – look outwards toward the gardens that abut the site, setting these two ‘jewel-box’ buildings within a rich green environment.
