Global architecture firm Woods Bagot has opened a Los Angeles studio in the historic Bradbury Building as part of NeueHouse, the private workspace and cultural home for creators, innovators and thought leaders.
With the launch of the LA studio, the firm is expanding its vision of People Architecture on the back of major project wins, including a new concourse at LAX Midfield and a large workplace for a confidential tech company.

The Bradbury regeneration is being watched closely around LA. KCRW said “the marvelous Bradbury Building was made famous in the 1982 sci-fi classic “Blade Runner,” when director Ridley Scott filled it with neon and smoke… It’s been a popular filming location for half a century, and a must-see stop for tourists and architecture buffs.”
“This is the most extraordinary building I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with,” says NeueHouse CEO Josh Wyatt in his interview with Hollywood Reporter.
Woods Bagot has been engaged with LA for several years. The firm’s MORE LA research project explored Los Angeles density and transport in a positive and community-engaging way, and was featured in LACoMotion, in addition to being recognized by Fast Company’s 2019 World Changing Ideas Awards. In 2018 the firm hosted “Building Worlds: the Art and Architecture of Film Design” with renowned production designers. Last year, the inaugural Woods Bagot Prize was awarded to three SciArc students.
