Virtually Tour The WIRED LivingHome

1 MIN READ

In October 2007, the modular house built by LivingHomes in partnership with WIRED Magazine (which we wrote about in November here), designed by Ray Kappe, FAIA, opened its doors to visitors to showcase new innovations and technologies alongside green, sustainable design. Now on the market and closed to the public (except to potential buyers), the only way to explore the $4-million Los Angeles WIRED LivingHome is to view the multimedia offerings at its website, www.wired.com/wiredlivinghome.

The website offers four videos of the pre-existing house’s deconstruction; behind-the-scenes video from the LivingHomes factory with explanations by architect Finn Kappe; time-lapse video of modular assembly; photo slideshows of interiors and special events; and a 3-D virtual tour. Visitors can also explore the house’s furnishings using the “Shop The Home” feature and view the floorplan.
