Chicago-based historic preservation nonprofit the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation has awarded the Society of Architectural Historians (SAH) a three-year $120,000 grant to support its operation.
“We thank the Driehaus Foundation for its generous support and share the Foundation’s commitment to preserve architectural heritage worldwide,” said SAH executive director Pauline Saliga in a press release. “This grant enables SAH to develop and administer local, national, and international programs that bring together those who study, research, and practice in the fields of architectural and urban history.”
SAH is a nonprofit based in the Windy City that aims to “promote the study, interpretation, and conservation of architecture, design, landscapes, and urbanism worldwide” by supporting the research conducted by its members. The organization regularly hosts talks and tours of its landmarked headquarters, the Charnley-Persky House in Chicago.
This is the second multi-year general operating grant that the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation has awarded to SAH.
