A new social networking site aims to create an online community for owners of historic homes, preservation experts, and those who just love buildings steeped in history. A place where like-minded historic home lovers can congregate virtually, show off their homes and preservation efforts, and share experiences, the site has been dubbed @home and lives at www.athomenation.org.

@home was launched recently by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and allows visitors to view a gallery of homes posted by other users and to find information on specific home styles. Fun quizzes, polls, and contests help keep visits interesting. @home also offers real estate listings of historic properties on the market and provides information resources for homeowners interested in weatherizing or greening their historic homes.
