The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) recently posted a helpful video on YouTube explaining the architect licensure process. “Student to Architect: The Path to Licensure” is narrated by three architects and NCARB staffers who, in addition to outlining the reasons and requirements for licensure, share personal examples about their own paths to achieving a license to practice architecture. A brief overview of degrees from the National Architectural Accrediting Board’s accredited professional programs, the Intern Development Program, and the Architect Registration Examination also are included, as well as a discussion about the benefits of the NCARB Certificate and the importance of mobility to practitioners.
