Residential Architect and ARCHITECT hosted Reinvention 2014 this week in Washington, D.C. The conference is held in a different city each year, and one of the days is spent exploring residential projects around the city. On Monday, conference attendees piled into buses to check out six properties ranging in client, budget, and scale.

Robert M. Gurney Architect designed the renovation and addition to the Glass House in the Georgetown neighborhood.

Richard Williams Architects renovated Four Pavilions, which was originally designed by Hugh Newell Jacobsen in 1975.

For Salt and Pepper House, KUBE Architecture removed part of the second floor in a Capitol Hill row house to form a living area in the back of the house.
