green good design awards announced

The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, along with The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, recently announced the winners of the Green Good Design 2009 Awards for sustainable green design.

The awards program honors sustainable green design by governments, corporations, foundations, and individuals, as well as architecture, environmental and landscape architecture, and products. Among the 2009 Architecture category winners were projects by the Washington, D.C., and San Francisco offices of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill; Ehrlich Architects of Culver City, Calif; Richard Meier & Partners Architects of New York City; Busby Perkins+Will of Vancouver, B.C.; the New York City office of HOK; Bohlin Cywinksi Jackson of Seattle, Pittsburgh, and Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; and Kiss + Cathcart, Architects of Brooklyn, N.Y.
