Phoenix firm Will Bruder + Partners to Split into Two Practices

1 MIN READ

Will Bruder + Partners announced earlier this week that the firm will split into two separate practices, starting July 1.

Will Bruder, AIA, will operate a separate practice named Will Bruder Architects from new offices in the NCG building in Phoenix. The former Will Bruder + Partners will continue to run out of the firm’s current offices, also located in Phoenix, but now will be known as Worksbureau. Rob Gaspard, AIA, Richard Jensen, AIA, and Ben Nesbeitt will run that firm.

Gaspard says the four partners decided to separate ways because they had different long-term goals. Bruder is downsizing his practice, bringing only two of the firm’s employees along to his new firm where he will concentrate on local projects. Worksbureau will take on the other 27 employees and will continue to expand the firm’s presence in the international field.

“It’s important to recognize that this was not a bitter decision on any level,” Gaspard says. The two firms remain on congenial terms, he says, and plan to work on joint projects in the future.

Will Bruder + Partners is based in Phoenix and designed several notable projects in the area, including the Henkel Headquarters in Scottsdale, Ariz.
