enter the diversity recognition awards program

AIA has opened the submission period for its 2010 Diversity Recognition Awards Program, which honors architects for their exemplary efforts toward the diversification of the profession across such boundaries as race, religion, ethnicity, gender, age, national origin, physical ability, sexual orientation, geographic location, or models of practice. All entries must be submitted by Sept. 16, 2009. For submission requirements and guidelines, visit www.aia.org/about/initiatives/AIAB079206.

The awards jury will select up to 12 entries to be recognized as Diversity Best Practices. Award recipients will be presented with a certificate during the AIA National Convention, profiled in AIArchitect and on the AIA Diversity website, and included in the AIA Best Practices library on the Architect’s Knowledge Resource website.
