massimo scolari: the representation of architecture, 1967–2012

Architectural models, paintings, and drawings by architect, professor, designer, and artist Massimo Scolari will be on view at the Yale School of Architecture starting Feb. 6 and running through May 4. The exhibition covers Scolari’s career from 1967, when he was in architecture school in Milan, and continuing through recent work. Scolari has been a visiting architecture professor at Yale since 2006 and will curate this retrospective himself. Grouped into themes and project concepts, the pieces on display were selected to highlight the architect’s questioning of built forms through his artistic theoretical representations. The free exhibition is open to the public Monday through Saturday, and Scolari will give an accompanying lecture called “Representations” at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 9.
