Architecture Adds 1,600 Jobs in July

Landscape architecture added 500 jobs, engineering and drafting services added 3,900 jobs.

Architectural and engineering services lost 4,400 jobs in August, according to the latest employment report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. In addition to figures for August, today’s release also includes more detailed information on job growth in July for architecture, landscape architecture, and engineering and drafting services.

Architecture added 1,600 jobs in July, which is a decrease from the jobs added in June but still the second-strongest month for the industry so far in 2015.

Landscape architecture added 500 jobs in July, up from a loss of 800 in June.


Engineering and drafting services added 3,900 jobs in July. This is more than triple the jobs that were added in June.
