Luxury Backrest, Victoria + Albert

This backrest makes straight-sided tubs more ergonomic.

Straight-sided freestanding bathtubs serve both functional and aesthetic purposes, making the process of designing the sculptural pieces for ergonomics a challenge. Victoria + Albert’s Luxury Backrest offers support for the luxury bath products maker’s Ios and Edge tubs. The accessory’s stainless steel frame is covered with a soft, water-resistant polyurethane surface. The 22¼”-long-by-11¾”-wide-by-1½”-thick piece installs at a 19-degree angle in the Ios tub and a 28.5-degree angle in the Edge tub. vandabaths.com
