Today, Lightfair announced that for the 30th iteration of the show–May 19 – 23, 2019–will return to Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The announcement was made in a press statement by Jeffrey L. Portman, Sr., chairman, chief executive officer and president of LFI managing partner AmericasMart® Atlanta.

Lightfair, which takes places annually, and typically alternates between an east coast and west coast U.S. city, has been held in Philadelphia several times before, and most recently in 2017. According to the press release, “Lightfair 2017 set all-new records at the Pennsylvania Convention Center May 7 – 11 with the largest trade show floor and largest Philadelphia registration. The trade show encompassed 277,600 net square feet housing 592 exhibitors, including 59 first-time exhibiting companies and 127 manufacturers headquartered outside the U.S. Lightfair’s 2017’s registration of 27,939 topped the 2016 total and posted a 7.4 percent increase over the 2013 Philadelphia registration total. Registered attendees represented 81 countries.”

Portman noted, “Philadelphia’s continuing emergence as a center of design, architecture and innovation sets the perfect stage for Lightfair’s 2019 presentation of all that is new and next in lighting and technology products, ideas and thought leadership.”

Lightfair is a showcase for the lighting industry’s latest product and technology offerings. Along with a five-day conference program providing more than 70 courses, the show floor features a variety of manufacturers focusing on everything from LEDs to lighting controls to intelligent lighting, as well as six pavilions organized around specific product areas: Design; Exterior & Roadway Lighting; Global Light + Design; Intelligent Lighting; IoT; and New Exhibitor Pavilion.

The 2018 show will take place May 6 – 10 and be held in Chicago at McCormick Place. For full details go to lightfair.com.
