HDR Opens New Los Angeles Office

Multinational architectural, engineering, and consulting firm HDR announced the establishment of a new Los Angeles office on Tuesday. The firm opted to close the nearby Pasadena office and will now occupy 28,000 square feet of space in the Bunker Hill District in the city’s downtown.

The new office “reflects the firm’s strong commitment to connect and improve lives through the design of the built environment, clean water, and transportation projects throughout Los Angeles,” the firm stated in a press release.

Usman Tariq, most recently theassociate managing principal of HDR’s Washington, D.C., office, will lead the office’s architecture studio as the managing principal.

“The move from Pasadena is a catalyst for a storied future for HDR that is driven by excellence in design, quality and innovation, while remaining focused on client and community engagement,” Tariq said in the same release.
