Freestanding Double Oven, Whirlpool

This freestanding unit incorporates a double oven and induction cooktop.

Double ovens help homeowners prepare more food at a faster pace, but they must often be installed in the wall, requiring additional space and resulting in added installation costs. From Whirlpool, the induction double-oven freestanding electric range offers a more accessible alternative. A 2.5-cubic-foot upper oven and 4.2-cubic-foot lower oven sit below an electric cooktop fitted with proprietary induction cooking technology. The lower oven offers convection cooking while the upper oven can preheat to any cooking temperature in five minutes, its maker says. Both drawers incorporate a built-in sensor to monitor temperature. The unit’s Sabbath mode allows users to override the automatic shutoff function and keep the oven on for extended periods to accommodate religious observation. whirlpool.com
