Architect Faith Rose, AIA, starts Wednesday as the executive director of New York City’s Public Design Commission, which reviews projects for property owned by the city. Mayor Bill de Blasio announced her appointment today. Previously the city’s Department of Design and Construction’s director of design excellence, Rose is replacing Jackie Snyder.
Sara Johnson is the former associate editor, design news at ARCHITECT. Previously, she was a fellow at CityLab. Her work has also appeared in San Francisco, San Francisco Brides, California Brides, DCist, Patchwork Nation, and The Christian Science Monitor.
