Boulder, Colo., architect Greg Franta, AIA, LEED AP, who had been missing since Feb. 9, 2009, was found dead in his vehicle at the bottom of a ravine off a Colorado highway. Colorado State Patrol investigators say that the 58-year-old had apparently lost control of his vehicle late on the same night he went missing and that his vehicle slid several hundred feet off the road, collided with two trees, and eventually landed on its roof out of sight of passing traffic. The vehicle was spotted by a passing cyclist on March 10. Local newspaper the Colorado Daily reports.

Franta was senior vice president of The Rocky Mountain Institute, which has posted its own in memoriam for him (click here).
