ARCADIS Acquires RTKL Associates

RTKL Associates, an architectural design, master planning, and specialized engineering firm headquartered in Baltimore, Md., has been acquired by international consulting and engineering company ARCADIS, based in Arnhem, The Netherlands. From its six offices across the United States as well as offices in London, Shanghai, Madrid, and Tokyo, RTKL produces work for the commercial, health, workplace, and civic markets in 50 countries. According to ARCADIS’ CEO Harrie Noy, the merger with RTKL allows ARCADIS to build a leadership position in the facility segment and to participate more in large private and public sector property investments worldwide. The two firms, now combined, offer a full range of planning, design, program and cost management, property consulting, and specialty engineering services, either separately or as an integrated package.
