"The Everson Museum from 1968, designed by I.M. Pei, is still impressive," says Eric Höweler on his instagram. "Pei’s first built museum project, he would go on to design the Johnson Museum at Cornell, The East Wing and the Louvre Museum. The site cast concrete work and bush hammered finishes are the beginning of a career long interest of Pei’s, and many in his generation. I can’t help but think that it would be almost impossible to build like that today."
