Firm Description

Our expertise in navigating environmental concerns, project budgets, social considerations, and municipal approvals allows us to efficiently complete projects at many scales. We will carry a project from early stages of Conceptual Design (often in the form of sketches, diagrams, and models) through to Design Development (further refining use, form, and material) and concluding with Municipal Permit Applications and Construction Documents. The decisions made in the early stages of design ensure success throughout a project.

We apply our expertise and experience in Building Science at every stage of the design and construction process. This is oftentimes second nature to us, as we are able to draw upon past projects, research, and education to integrate Building Science and passive design principles. Utilizing energy modeling software we are able to accurately predict energy use and adjust the design of spaces, assemblies, and components to optimize the performance of new and existing buildings, prevent building failures, and guide the integration of new techniques and technologies. In doing so, we ensure cost-effective construction methods, long-term energy savings, and a healthy, comfortable environment both indoors and out.
