Firm Description

Sorg Architects is a full service, international design firm offering architectural design services as well as interior design, urban planning, historic preservation and construction management. The firm was founded in 1986 by Suman Sorg, FAIA and a branch office in New Delhi, India was established in 2010.

Sorg Architects has completed projects in more than 30 countries throughout North America, South America, Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. The firm’s extensive portfolio includes commercial, educational, institutional, civic, private and multi-family residential projects, often designed for repeat clients. The firm has won numerous commissions and contracts from the Federal Government, regional Municipalities, institutional and private clients. Sorg Architects has a wealth of experience in the design and construction of large scale, complex new construction, renovation, and addition projects for a wide variety of clients and project types.

Recognized with numerous honors, the firm’s work has received more than 60 awards from regional, national, and international associations and clients. In the last year alone, the firm and its projects were featured in Metropolis Magazine, Architectural Record, and the Washington Post, among other top-tier publications. In 2014, Architect magazine ranked Sorg Architects number 31 in the best US architecture firms category.
