SLA is a global, highly specialised nature-based design studio. With an interdisciplinary team of over 130 landscape architects, biologists, anthropologists, architects, ecologists, city planners, landscape engineers and lighting designers we are dedicated to reconnecting humans with nature, preserving our world’s biodiversity, and creating a new balance between the built and the grown environment in our cities. We are designers and researchers, nerds and practitioners, thinkers and artists.

We work from the research and the knowledge that nature is essential for true life-quality and wellbeing of the individual; for the health and livability of our societies and cities; and for the resilience and the sustainability of our Earth.

Our work helps governments, cities and everyday people. Our work stretches from nation-wide biodiversity visions, ecological strategies and interdisciplinary research studies to large-scale masterplans, landscape architecture, public realm designs and public life. All our projects improve people’s lives, empower social equality, fight the climate crisis, strengthen biodiversity and make the world more meaningful, richer and better for the coming generations.
