OMA will lead the master plan for a redevelopment of Sydney’s Darling Harbour, thanks to its recent win of a competition held by the New South Wales government. OMA’s joint entry with developers Lend Lease, Hostplus, Capella Capital, AEG Ogden, and Spotless, has been dubbed Darling Harbor Live, and will include facilities for the Sydney International Convention, Exhibition, and Entertainment Precinct (SICEEP). In addition to designing the master plan, OMA is also the conceptual architect for the precinct’s ICC Hotel complex; Hassell Studio, Populous, and DCM will design other buildings within the plan.
