The Lighting in R/GA’s Offices Provides Uniformity

Tillotson Design Associates' lighting scheme for the Foster + Partners project gives the workspace a "cohesive industrial look."

Over at our sister lighting publication, Foster + Partners’ New York City office space for giant ad agency R/GA has garnered a commendable achievement award in the interior lighting category in the 2017 AL Light & Architecture Design Awards. Writes associate editor Katharine Keane: “Local lighting design firm Tillotson Design Associates developed a strategy to bundle approximately 10,500 surface-mounted, tunable PAR38 LED lamps into groups of four, which created ‘a raw and industrial luminaire mindful of both project schedule and budgetary limitations.’ This inventive lighting strategy is uniform throughout the office and provides a cohesive industrial look to match exposed sprinklers, HVAC, and plumbing systems.” Read the full story at Architectural Lighting.
