Silhouette AF-655 is a deep espresso with charcoal undertones anchoring Benjamin Moore’s Color Trends 2026 palette that borrows cues from contemporary fashion. The company frames Silhouette as a tailored, versatile neutral that can shift from backdrop to focal point depending on context.

Benjamin Moore’s annual selection has become a temperature check on client taste and a useful shorthand for conversations about mood, material pairings, and lighting. This year’s choice signals the continued pivot from gray toward warmer, brown-based neutrals—tones that play well with limestone, walnut, travertine, patinated metals, and earthy textiles.

“We’ve noticed a renewed interest in suiting and classic silhouettes; the resurgence of timeless pieces; and the growing interest in the brown color family,” says Andrea Magno, director of color marketing and design. “Like a perfectly tailored suit, this hue has the versatility and softness to bring a space from expected to exceptional.”

For residential programs, the shade can read sophisticated without feeling formal, especially at velvety sheens on millwork, built-ins, or entry vestibules.

The 2026 palette

The full set pairs warm mid-tones and softened pales designed to layer without sharp contrast:

  • Silhouette AF-655
  • Raindance 1572
  • Swiss Coffee OC-45
  • First Crush CSP-310
  • Batik AF-610
  • Narragansett Green HC-157
  • Southwest Pottery 048
  • Sherwood Tan 1054

Together, these hues offer an approachable range for projects that aim for depth and tactility rather than high-contrast schemes. Expect to see Silhouette with off-whites (Swiss Coffee) for quiet trim/wall pairings, or with blue-greens (Narragansett Green) for moody libraries and dens.
