Renderings of Boston 2024 Summer Olympics

What the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games could look like in Boston.

On Thursday, the U.S. Olympic Committee announced that Boston would be the candidate the country will put forth for the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. The balls are already rolling in Boston, where the city’s mayor, Martin Walsh, held a press conference this morning and outlined a schedule of monthly community meetings that begin this month and run through September. Four renderings of Boston 2024 were also released at the press conference.

“Our goal is to host an Olympic and Paralympic Games that are innovative, walkable and hospitable to all,” Walsh said in a statement Thursday.
